Lots of people embed their YouTube videos using our Plugins (Edit Page >> Insert Plugins >> Video).
Today we’re announcing a new feature: Upload your videos directly to your PBwiki — free. If you have videos sitting around on your hard drive, upload them and share them with your friends. It takes about 5 minutes to upload.
When we decided to add video to PBWiki, we wanted it to be easy and look great. Working with the folks at Fliqz, we’ve added video functionality that turns any wiki into your personal primetime platform. What can you do with video? Here are 10 great ideas:
10: Show off your talent to the world
9: Share a recent experience with your network
8: Send a video message to someone you care about
7: Share videos of a family wedding, birth, or vacation
6: Invite your network to participate in a business or personal event
5: Create a video resume
4: Make a video review
3: Teach others how to do something (like make a great peanut butter sandwich)
2: Offer your views and opinions on a topic that matters
1: Demonstrate a product or a service
How to add video to your wiki
Just click “Edit Page” >> “Insert Plugin” >> “Video” and then insert your video. It will appear shortly afterwards. Remember, your video uploads do not use any of your wiki storage space.
The big news: You can upload video right to your wiki and share it with your friends — free.

Wow! Won’t use any storage space? Awesome!
“Won’t use any storage space” == “stored at Fliqz”
I suspect Fliqz has a limit.
Hey, PBwiki, which player do we get: Basic, Silver, Gold or Platinum?
Fliqz offers unlimited storage to PBwiki members, although there’s a limit on individual uploads of 200MB.
The current player offered to PBwiki members is the Silver player.

What an excellent addition to an already brilliant facility!
outstanding
I’ve tried this and can hear the sound on my video but not see the picture!
Any suggestions!
Cool one guys… Unlimited space is an interesting move. Hope going forward you wont change the setting. If you do so will I loose my videos?
It’s great to hear the positive feedback.
For any issues, please send an email to support@fliqz.com. If possible, include a link to your wiki, and we’ll do our best to address any questions, technical snags, or other concerns.
As far as storage, it’s our intention to continue to support unlimited storage. In the unlikely event that this should change, it would only affect new uploads. There would be no impact on videos already uploaded.
We understand the importance of your videos, and we’re committed to helping you preserve these important media assets.
Thanks again for your feedback. It helps us to continually improve the Fliqz experience.

None of these people or comments are real. Not even a good attempt at advertising. ZAP! Try again.
I’m not using it. YouTube and Google Video are the champs.
You guys are, well, peanuts.

Hello, From Italy.
Thank you very much for your support and for sharing resources.

The process seems to be hung up on Step 2. I am trying to upload a wmv file that is several MBs. Is that a problem?
Uploaded video >24 hrs ago but it is still not yet available. Just sit tight and wait? Or…?
Thanks
Nice feature, but uploading videos in “a couple of hours” isn’t quite working. Needs improvement.
Most videos should be available within minutes of uploading. Occasionally, a problem video may require special attention, and in these cases, availability times may vary.
If you experience a specific problem, please feel free to contact us at support@fliqz.com.
Do you have an option for RSS feeds?
Thanks.

Frank
that is sooo cool! i cant wait to upload my videos. my wiki gonna be banging!
Doesn’t work. It gets hung up on step 2. Any thoughts. I’m about ready to look at another wiki. video is the reason I’m on pbwiki in the first place.
Hi Rhonda,
I’ll take a look at this. Just remember, you aren’t limited to using only the video upload in our plugins. You can embed videos that you upload at YouTube or TeacherTube or any of the many upload services.
Just use the HTML plugin to paste in your embed code.
This is now resolved!
